The Whateverly Brothers!

Sometimes you throw a gig together 2 weeks before it happens because why not!

Doors at 8

// The Whateverly Brothers
The Whateverly Brothers were formed initially as a side project by Will Whitwham (The Wilderness of Manitoba), Andrew Patten (The Most Loyal) and Aurora Bangarth. Together they play bittersweet songs with lush harmonies filtered through haze and fuzz. Their debut single, “Everything New is Love,” is out now, and will be followed by an EP of the same name in Spring 2018. The forthcoming EP relays stories of youth lost to the anxieties and realities of growing older, through magnetic melodies and a kaleidoscope of textures. These are the songs they wanted to play in the 90s but didn’t yet have the wherewithal.

// Ryder Havdale
Ryder Havdale is no stranger to the road: from 2007 to 2013 he embarked on countless international tours with his former project, the Mohawk Lodge, taking him across Canada, the UK, the U.S., Europe and Australia. Now, after living in a self-imposed year-long exile in Berlin, he exchanged his guitars for synths and his band for machines. Havdale channels the punk rock approach that fuelled his elemental desire for touring, and experimentally, injects it into the pounding, electronic rhythms of European techno and krautrock with a dash of lyrics and synth pop for good measure. The result is a rhythmic, complex and layered musical texture that is technological and futuristic, but at its heart, also very human.
